| Bachmann, George R.,
79, beloved husband of Jean (Ryan) died Tuesday, April 6, 2010. Born in
Passaic the son of Frederick and Anna Lena (Rozzelle) Bachmann, he lived
in Jefferson Township before moving to West Milford 9 years ago. A
retired land surveyor for 40 years with Lapatka & Associates,
Paramus, he held licenses in NJ, NY and PA. Mr. Bachmann served in the
National Guard during the Korean War. He was a member of NJ Society of
Engineers, North Haledon Volunteer Fire Department and the Hawthorne
VFW. Beside his wife of 54 ½ years, he is survived by three sons George
R. and wife Andrea of Indiana, Timothy E. and wife Cindy of Milford, PA
and Robert T. and companion Joanne of Stroudsburg, PA and his
grandchildren Timothy, Jessica, Amanda, George, Robert and Victoria. A
daughter Jean M. Bachmann (1959), two brothers Fred and Carl Bachmann
and two sisters Berth Reade and Doris Susen predeceased him. Visiting
Friday 7-9PM and Saturday 9-10:30AM. Funeral Service Saturday 9:30 AM at
the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford.
Entombment Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa.
