Beck, Gordon, 89, husband of the late, Mildred (Finnegan) & Flo O’Connor, passed on Wednesday, January 11, 2017. Born in Butler, Mr. Beck was a lifelong resident of Bloomingdale. He had served in the US ARMY and is WWII Veteran and is a member of the Butler American Legion. He had retired as a boiler technician for William Paterson College and a maintenance supervisor for Mack Wayne Plastics. He is survived by two sons, Gordon  Beck Jr. (and wife, Angela) of Bloomingdale and Bruce Beck (and wife, Tina) of Montague,  one daughter, Katherine Svendsen (and husband, Lloyd) of Princeton, two brothers, Jack Beck of West Milford and Jerry Beck of Williamsport, seven grandchildren, Kyle, Lance, Kara, Christopher, Stacey, Matthew and Steven, two step-sons, Mike O’Connor and Scott O’Connor and one step-daughter, Patty Kemp. He is predeceased by his father and mother, August Beck and Dorothy (Tintle), three sisters and nine brothers. Funeral Service, Monday 10 AM at Richards Funeral Home, Inc. 4 Newark-Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Interment Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Funeral Visitation, Sunday, 3-7 PM.
