Florence A. Colfax, (nee Pulis), the widow of Stanley Colfax who predeceased her in 1992, died Thursday, March 18, 2010. She was 94. Mrs. Colfax was born and lived her entire life in West Milford. Mrs. Colfax retired in 1993 after 30 years with the West Milford School System where she was a cafeteria manager. She was a long-time member of the West Milford Presbyterian Church where for many years she was a teacher and Superintendent of the Church School. In recent years, she was a member of the United Methodist Church at Newfoundland. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and Chilton Memorial Hospital. Surviving are several nieces and nephews and their families. A memorial service will be held at 4PM, Saturday, March 27th, at the West Milford Presbyterian Church, 1452 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ 07480. The Richards Funeral Home handled the arrangements. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the memory of Florence Colfax for the Cancer Center. |
