Faulkner, Dwight Allen, 72, loving husband, father and grandfather of West Milford, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Dwight was born in Lakewood, OH, to John and Frances (Baker) Faulkner. He spent his early childhood in Independence, OH, later moving to New Jersey.  He lived with his wife and children in West Milford since 1971. Dwight met and fell in love with his wife, Virginia, of 51 years, shortly after graduating high school. He spent three years in the United States Army, stationed in Texas and Okinawa, Japan. Following his years of military service, he pursued his passion of photography before switching to a career in IT working in the pharmaceutical and telecommunications industries until his retirement in 2011. An avid outdoorsman, Dwight was a lover of all things nature.  He spent many of his retirement years on the road exploring the country in his RV with his wife by his side. A notable conversationalist, Dwight’s friendly, outgoing manner and sense of humor left a lasting impression on those who knew him. A devoted father, Dwight lived his whole life for his family, a legacy which will be passed onto his grandchildren through his children. He is survived by his wife Virginia “Ginny” (nee Donovan); three loving children, Michael and wife Megan, of East Falmouth, MA; Daniel and wife Linda, of Montville, NJ; and daughter Caitlin Faulkner Lowe and husband Brian, of Springfield, NJ. He was the proud grandfather to six grandchildren who were the light of his life: Hannah, Matthew, Grace, Morgan, Brennan and Rory. He is also survived by his siblings, Douglas and Judith and sister-in-law Carolyn Gray; and was pre-deceased by his brother, David. Visitation will be Thursday, March 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Rd, West Milford, NJ.  Military Honors will be conducted at 6:30 PM. Private disposition.
