Filan, Valerie G. (Payonk), 49, went home to be with her Lord & Savior on Saturday, November 7, 2009. Born in Paterson she was a resident of Oak Ridge for the past 13 years moving here from West Orange. Mrs. Filan was a member of Love on a Leash 4H Club, affiliated with Morristown Seeing Eye, Creative Memories Consultant for 10 years, a teacher’s aid at Alpine Montessori in Oak Ridge and a member Green Pond Bible Chapel and a Sunday school teacher. Surviving are here husband, Thomas J., two sons, John T. and Matthew J., two daughters, Dianna M. and Laura A. all at home; her father, Stanley Payonk of Mt. Pleasant, PA; one brother, Dr Gregory S. Payonk of Flanders, NJ; two sisters, Debra A. Vedro of Mansfield, TX and Geri Recchia of West Milford, NJ. Predeceased by her mother, Maryann (Vikartovski) Payonk. Friends may call at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Monday, November 9 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Memorial Service at the Green Pond Bible Chapel, 1083 Green Pond Road, Newfoundland on Tuesday at 11 AM.
