| Hodges, Albert Victor, Jr.
age 81 beloved husband of Harriet (Wadle) passed away Wednesday, May 19,
2010. Born in East Orange the son of Albert and Flavia (Roesch) he lived
in Rutherford before moving to West Milford 54 years ago. Before
retiring, Mr. Hodges had been a Regional Sales Manager for Skuttle
Manufacturing Company, Milford, MI. An Air Force veteran of the Korean
War, a distinguished and highly decorated pilot he attained the rank of
1st LT and was a P.O.W. He was a recipient of the
Distinguished Flying Cross and The Purple Heart Award. His memberships include American Ex-P.O.W.,
New Jersey Chapter 1 and F86 Pilots Association. A son Alan of Brooklyn,
NY, four daughters Wendy Renfer of Mt. Joy, PA, Laura Stellingwerf of
Bloomingburg, NY, Cheryl Reed of Vernon, NJ and Vicki Reilly of
Westchester, PA. and ten grandchildren also survive him. The family is
receiving friends Friday (May 21, 2010) 2-4 & 7-9PM at the Richards
Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Memorial Mass
Saturday (5/22) 11AM at St. Joseph’s Church, West Milford. Friends are
asked to meet directly at church. In lieu of flowers donations to American EX-POWs Chapter 1, 141 Knollcroft
Road, Lyons, NJ 07939 or Wounded Warrior Project, 7020 A C Skinner
Parkway, Suite 100, Jacksonville, Fl 32256 would be appreciated.
