61, husband of Lynn (Van Orden), passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010.
Born in Stroudsburg, PA, Mr. Karshner lived in Vernon (Stockholm), NJ,
for 34 years, coming from Pompton Lakes, NJ. He had been employed as a
frozen food manager by Stop and Shop, Butler, NJ. In addition to his
wife, he is also survived by son, John D., Jr., of Vernon, daughter,
Kelly of Rochester, NY, stepmother, Stella Karshner of NC, sister,
Elizabeth Karshner of St. Petersburg, FL, aunt and uncle, Robert and
June Johnston of PA, cousins, Susan Iannuzzo and David Johnston, and
niece, Melissa Karshner. He was predeceased by his parents, William A.
and Mildred (Johnston) Karshner, Sr. and brother, William A. Karshner,
Jr. Funeral Service 8:30 PM, Saturday at the Richards Funeral Home, 4
Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, NJ. Final disposition private.
Visitation Saturday, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
