Merecky, Joan H. (Hehr), 84, wife of Edward, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Born in Wheeling, WV, Mrs. Merecky lived in Pompton Lakes, NJ, for 64 years. She had been employed as a secretary by E.I. DuPont, Pompton Lakes, NJ, and later as a media clerk for the Pompton Lakes Board of Education. She was a member of Pompton Lakes Reformed Church. In addition to her husband, she is also survived by her daughters, Janice Halvorsen of W. Milford, NJ, Diane Barker of Lancaster, PA, and Carol Lane of Gladstone, NJ, her brother, Louis Hehr of Wheeling, WV, grandchildren, Colleen, Eric, Jason, Tyler, Eileen, Ryan and Brandon, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her grandson, Trevor. Funeral Service 11 AM, Saturday, at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale, NJ. Interment at Pompton Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Lakes, NJ. Visitation Friday, 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.
