A. Fullerton, a former Ford
dealer in Somerville, NJ, died Thursday, April 22, 2010 at Arden Courts
Assisted Living in Wayne, NJ, from complications of Alzheimer’s. He
was 92. Mr. Fullerton was born on June 10, 1917 in Brooklyn, NY. He went
to high school in Buffalo, NY. During the depression and World War II,
he was employed at a Curtiss-Wright plant in the Buffalo area. After the
war, he joined Nash-Kelvinator, which later became American Motors, as a
sales manager. He eventually became a regional sales manager before
leaving the company in 1961 to purchase a Rambler dealership in
Levittown, NY. He sold that dealership in 1965, and the following year
purchased the Ford dealership in Somerville, which became Fullerton
Ford. In 1982, he sold his business and retired to Fort Myers, FL. In
1999, he moved back to NJ to be near his two daughters. He has been a
resident at Arden Courts since July, 2007. He is survived by his
daughters, Barbara Sweeney of Chestertown, NY, and Joyce Tucker of Green
Pond, NJ, nine grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a brother,
John Sambalino of Haddonfield, NJ. His three marriages ended in divorce.
